One-on-One Career Advising Appointment

Schedule a 30-minute appointment through Handshake.
Meet with a career advisor for a 30-minute 1:1 appointment to discuss any aspect of your career planning, job/internship search, or graduate/professional school application.

1:1 appointments may be conducted in-person or on Zoom. Please select your desired format from the available options when scheduling your appointment.

If you do not see availability, please check back as appointments may open up due to cancellations.

APPOINTMENT TIPS: New appointments are available each Friday and are posted no more than 2 weeks in advance. Please check the portal on Fridays in the late afternoon or evening.

Drop-In Session

Have a quick question? Stop by for a Drop-in session (in-person or virtual).
15-minute Drop-in Sessions are available in-person and virtually. Please see the seasonal schedules below. In-person sessions are held at the Career Center (Strathmore Building, 2nd Floor) or the virtual drop-in room.

Sessions can cover resume/cover letter development and review, help with job/internship search, or interview preparation.

Be advised that virtual drop-ins are available to current UCLA undergraduates only and your UID will be required upon check-in.

Screenshots, photographs, and recordings of drop-in appointments is prohibited unless specifically agreed to by both parties. For recording concerns regarding accessibility issues, please speak to the counselor at the start of the appointment.

Drop-In Hours: The Career Center hosts drop-in sessions throughout the calendar year. Our drop-in hours for the academic year are as shown below. Please note we occasionally need to cancel or modify our hours. When this occurs, hours will be updated accordingly.

Internship Lab

Looking for an internship? Internship Lab can help!

Internship Lab is held on Mondays from 10 am- 2 pm in the Career Center
Weeks 1 – 8 during the academic year (with the exception of holidays and closures).

Optimize your internship or job search by learning how to set up and best use Handshake, and hearing about additional tips and resources. Drop-In format, so come for as long as you would like — and bring your laptop!
