The Software Engineer Intern gains hands-on experience working on real-world software projects alongside experienced engineers. This role is suited to someone passionate about technology, eager to learn, and excited to contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced development environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and tools.
- Collaborate within the engineering team and manufacturing environment to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in languages such as Go, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings to learn the best development practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing software.
- Contribute documentation and technical specifications.
- Learn and apply modern development tools, version control, and CI/CD practices.
- Support internal testing and QA processes to help ensure software quality.

Essential Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Go, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
- Familiar with computer hardware, computing components, and a general understanding of how computers work.
- Familiarity with software development principles and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with message queuing (RabbitMQ), microservices, microservice management and control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, curious, and willing to learn new technologies.
- Exposure to web development, APIs, or cloud technologies.
- Experience with Linux or Windows environments.
- Familiarity with software development processes.
- The base pay range for this internship is $23/hour.
