Schedule a Doctoral Appointment
Schedule a one hour one-on-one appointment to discuss job documents, learn more about different career paths, practice a mock interview, or anything career development! To schedule, log in to Handshake, click on Career Center then Appointments. More information on navigating Handshake is available via the Navigating Handshake for Students resource below.

Appointment Details

• New appointments are available each Friday and are scheduled no more than 2 weeks in advance.
• Current UCLA doctoral students and recent UCLA PhD alumni (graduated in the past academic term) may book up to one appointment per week.
• One-on-one appointments may be conducted in-person or on Zoom. Please select your desired format from the available options when scheduling your appointment.
• Arriving more than 10 minutes late will result in a need to reschedule the appointment for another time. Cancellations should be done at least 24 hours ahead of the appointment time.
• 3 or more late arrivals, late cancellations, or missed appointments will result in a Handshake account block. To remove the block, you will need to meet with the Associate Director.
