Career Center Bruin Guardian Scholars (BGS) Externs

Hi everyone! My name is Laila Kegler, and I am an undergrad senior at UCLA. I am majoring in the Study of Religion and minoring in African American Studies. As a returnee, I am passionate about assisting college students with building their resumes, constructing their cover letters, and creating career-orientated workshops. As a BGS Career Center Extern, I aim to continue assisting the BGS community with career-related support.  

My favorite place to study is the Charles E. Young Library on the fifth floor. I look forward to getting to know you all and assisting you here at the UCLA Career Center! 

Hi! My name is Soraya and I am a 4th year Sociology major, minoring in Entrepreneurship. As a Career Center Peer Coach, I look forward to connecting you with helpful career exploration resources and finding specialized support programming. As a first generation college student and former foster youth myself, I understand what it’s like navigating higher education solo. In my free time I love to travel, paint, and try new food hotspots in LA. My favorite spot on campus is the Evelyn & Mo Ostin Music Café – best breakfast on campus!
