Graduate School and
Pre-Professional Planning
The UCLA Career Center
offers personal assistance and programs on the graduate and professional school
application process, including program selection, the personal essay, faculty
recommendations, admissions tests and financial assistance. In the fall quarter,
the Career Center hosts the annual Graduate
and Professional School Fair. This fair attracts representatives from more
than 150 colleges and universities who attend to showcase their university and
programs, and offer admission information.
UCLA Pre-Professional Services
There are many offices on campus ready to assist you with your pre-professional
planning: The UCLA Career Center, College Counseling, Departmental Counseling,
and Academics in the Commons (Pre-Health Peer Counseling and Workshops). For

Letters of Reference
Service
The Career Center
will file and store your reference letters and upon request, mail them out to
the Graduate and Professional programs to which you are applying.
Fellowships and Scholarships
Fellowships provide the
opportunity for study, research or work related to one’s particular field of
interest. They can range in time from six months to two years in duration and
usually include a stipend or other benefits. Most fellowships require that applicants
have a B.A. or B.S. degree or are currently working on or have already secured
a graduate/professional degree. For further information on eligibility, application
