Mina Patel, Global Business Media Executive

Mina Patel is a global business media executive experienced in sales strategy, operations, management, and development. Ms. Patel excels in leading organizations, managing teams, and mentoring students. She currently makes successful contributions to educational initiatives, and non-profit management program development and implementation. She has lent management expertise to companies in media and technology innovation; higher education institutions, and the charitable sector. She is currently President of the Santa Monica College General Advisory Board. Through community external relations advisory board activities and execution, she cultivates new membership, sponsors, and donors.

Ms. Patel served as Sr. Vice President at CBS and Paramount International Television where her duties included digital global content management; and supervision of administration and sales operations at regional offices in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and US/Canada. She began her career at MGM Studios where she held numerous positions including Executive Director, International Television Worldwide Sales where she was responsible for sales management and strategic planning. An innovative sales executive and visionary leader with multi-cultural business analysis, development, and global content management experience. She has driven business performance to help organizations achieve growth and increase profits. Builds community engagement, health & wellness inspiration, coach, mentor, advisor, speaker, and panelist. Upon graduation from Virginia Tech with bachelor’s degrees in finance and psychology, Holly immediately began her career as a Support Integration Officer at the CIA.  During her 15 year career, she has managed multidisciplinary support to the US intelligence mission worldwide.  She has resolved tactical issues, created new processes and procedures, and provided direct and indirect operational support in the following disciplines: Finance and Budget, Logistics, Human Resources, Security, Facilities, and Project Management.  During her career she received a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University and currently serves as the CIA’s West Coast Regional Recruiter.   She loves the opportunities and experiences the CIA has afforded her to travel the world and do things she never imagined.  She encourages students to keep an open mind when exploring careers and don’t limit yourselves to any certain job or profession.  The most exciting and best career fit may be something you’ve never even thought of!
