The Career Center is much more than “the place to go to find a job” when you’re ready to graduate. In fact, we’re here for you from the first day you arrive at UCLA! Throughout your academic career the Career Center can help you learn about yourself, build skills, and form a professional network. The world of work is full of career options and with so many choices, it can be challenging to focus, but no worries - we're here to help you!
During your first year at UCLA, the Career Center will introduce you to an amazing array of career possibilities and help you explore the link between academic majors and employment options. If you’ve already chosen your dream job, we can help you develop skills and strategies to get you where you want to go.
Students who use our services are better prepared for the world of work. By being proactive and visiting the Career Center, you can:

TO SCHEDULE YOUR FIRST CAREER COUNSELING APPOINTMENT, up to two weeks in advance, use BruinView™. Please note that a BruinView™ account is required in order to register. In BruinView™ , you can select from the available time slots and you will be scheduled to see a career counselor who becomes your ongoing counselor. If you need additional appointments, you can make those follow-up appointments directly with that same counselor.
SAME-DAY APPOINTMENTS (formerly Drop-Ins) are available Monday through Thursday, from 11am to 4pm and Friday, from 11am to 3pm. Daily appointments are posted in BruinView™ at 9 am each day and remain open until filled. A BruinView™ account is required in order to register. When you sign up in BruinView™ for the same-day appointments, you will be seeing the counselor on assignment at that time.

Corporate Communications and Marketing Workshop
Featuring Andrew Schiff, Director of Communications & Marketing, Euro Pacific Capital
A veteran media and marketing consultant in the financial services industry, Andrew Schiff serves as an integral component of the communications and media effort at Euro Pacific Capital. Andrew has worked closely with his brother Peter for nearly a decade, first as an outside consultant and then as a staff member at Euro Pacific. He has helped develop, refine and target Euro Pacific strategic communications for media and clients. He is the co-author, along with Peter Schiff, of the illustrated economics book "How an Economy Grows and Why it Crashes." Over the course of his career, Andrew had consulted with many multi-billion dollar asset management firms in the development and execution of media strategy and communications. A holder of Series 7 and 63 licenses, Andrew works from the firm’s New York City offices, where he supervises a team of marketing and communications specialists.

Students seeking leads and ideas for internships or international programs are welcome to schedule a career counseling appointment or same day appointment through BruinView™. All career counselors share advice on how to conduct an effective job search, choose the options that best fit your goals, and apply for opportunities.
In addition, the UCLA Career Library Internship & International Zone connects Bruins to a wide range of internships, fellowships and "experiential learning" options in the U.S. and abroad. Prospective interns or world travelers can always explore the Zone's many self-service resources 9-5 Monday through Friday. One of these resources, our "Opportunity Lists," highlights top employers and programs in over 50 fields such as Consulting, Healthcare, Public Service and Teaching Abroad. Students and subscribing alumni can access these lists anytime on BruinView™ by filling out a brief info request form at: surveymonkey.com/s/inforequest.

PRE-LAW INTEREST
Targeted drop-in will be offered for students with an interest in attending law school. Talk with a career counselor about law school related issues including application process, decision making, and LSAT. Please check back for any exceptions to regular drop-in hours and for additional events and opportunities.
