RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION GUIDELINES
Rescheduling
Your Interview
You can change your appointment time via
the BruinView™ online system at any time during the sign-up period. After
the sign-up deadline, you must contact the employer for rescheduling assistance.
How to reschedule during the BruinView™
sign-up period
Follow these steps:
1 - Log into your BruinView account
2 - From the BruinView Desktop, select "My Personal Organizer."
3 - Select "View Resume Submissions" and highlight the employer with
whom you have scheduled an interview.
4 - Select "Change." Your current interview time will appear next
to a highlighted radio button. You will be able to view a list of available
time slots.
5 - Choose a new (available) timeslot and select "Submit."
How to reschedule after the sign-up deadline has
passed
Contact the employer to request a time change. Employer contact information
is available at the bottom of each BruinView™ job description screen.
CANCELING YOUR INTERVIEW
If it is necessary to cancel, please do so as far in advance
as possible.
How to cancel during
the BruinView™ sign-up period
You may cancel from the interview schedule by following Steps 1 - 4 in the "Rescheduling
Your Interview" section above. Simply select "Withdraw" at Step
4.
How to cancel after
the sign-up deadline has passed
You must email the Career Center at jobinfo@career.ucla.edu no later than 8:30
am two business days before your scheduled interview to avoid a penalty and
possible suspension.
Use the following table as a cancellation guideline: (a late cancellation constitutes
a "No Show")

NO SHOW PENALTIES
First time - Your BruinView™ account will become inactive
for two weekds (10 business days). During this "block-out" period, you will
be ineligible to submit resumes or sign up for new interviews through the BruinView™
system. You will, however, be expected to honor all previously scheduled interview
appointments.
Second time - Your BruinView™ account will be temporarily
suspended for the remainder of the quarter. If you are a continuing student,
it will be reinacted the beginning of the following quarter.
