REGISTRATION TIPS
Eligibility
Currently Enrolled UCLA Students: The BruinView™ online
service is offered at no cost to currently-enrolled UCLA undergraduates and
graduates enrolled in a degree-granting program. It includes job listings, internships,
campus interviews, and information services.
Currently Enrolled Students at other UC campuses are not elegible to
use BruinView™ Campus Interviews or BruinView™ Job Listing Services.
UCLA and other UC Alumni who purchase BruinView™ for Alumni or BruinAlumLink
are eligible to use BruinView Job Listing Services, only currently enrolled students
are eligible to participate in BruinView Campus Interviews.
The Registration Process
Eligible students and alumni must "Register for the First Time" to access BruinView™
services. Dukring the registration process you will be asked to select a personal
username and password, provide contact informationi, and create a Profile.
- Enter your First and Last Name. Be sure to use the name in the Registrar's
database.
- Enter Your Student Identification followed by LA or other campus code listed
below.
- Choose a personal username and password that you can remember.
- Click on "Create My Account" and enter requested information.
- Create your "Personal Profile." Some fields are required; some
are optional. In either case, please note that employers do not have access
to your personal information in your Profile with the exception of your U.S.
citizenship status.
- Create your "Contact Information."
- Create your "Educational Information." If you have a dual major
or a core major with a related minor or specialization, use the Control key
to highlight both. Your selections are limited to two listings.
Student Identification Numbers
Currently-enrolled UCLA students: Enter nine-digit Student
Identification number followed by LA (ex: 123456789LA)
UCLA alumni: Enter nine-digit UCLA Student Identification number followed
by LA (ex. 123456789LA)
UC graduates with fee-based extended service at UCLA Career Center:
Enter nine-digit Student Identification number followed by appropriate campus
qualifier (see below):

B: Berkeley
I: Irvine
R: Riverside
SB: Santa Barbara
SC: Santa Cruz
SD: San Diego
D: Davis
Login Instructions
Log in from the Career Center Homepage www.career.ucla.edu.
Each time you log in, you will go directly to My BruinView™.
Update Your Account
Remember to update your contact information and Profile as changes
occur. It's good practice to review your BruinView™ account each quarter.
Follow the online prompts in the My Profile section of the BruinView™
desktop to refresh your personal data.
- Be sure your email and campus contact information is current.
- Update all sections of your Profile, including your major, degree, work
authorization, VISA type, and graduation date. This is especially important
if you participate in Campus Interviews; inaccurate information may prevent
you from meeting an employer's requirements for campus interview positions.
