CAMPUS RECRUITMENT POLICIES
CAMPUS INTERVIEWS
You are invited to participate in the BruinView™ Campus Interview
program if you are an employer with actual or anticipated bona fide entry-level
positions and career-related paid internships. A bona fide position is defined
as a career opportunity that is salaried (not 100% commission) and does not
require the candidate to pay a fee for training or other job-related expenses.
Graduate and professional school representatives may also schedule events to
recruit UCLA students.
Employers offering “straight commission”
or “salary draw” positions
Employers with “straight commission” or “draw
against future earnings” positions may request to reserve an information
session at the Career Center.
Third Party/Contract Recruiters
Third parties (employment agencies and search firms) may participate
in BruinView™ Campus Interviews provided that they recruit for one employer
only and identify that employer to the Career Center and candidates.
Recruitment and Scheduling Policies
Your Recruiting Staff: Employer
representatives visiting the UCLA campus are expected to comply with Equal
Employment Opportunity regulations and related legislation in their recruitment
and hiring practices. Consideration should be afforded to all candidates without
regard to race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin
or age.
Professional Conduct: Employers
are expected to be familiar with and to honor the Principles
of Recruiting and Employment published by the National Association of College
and Employers.
Use of Campus Facilities:
Interview and presentation facilities arranged by the Career Center are to
be used solely to speak with students and recent graduates from the University
of California who are eligible for service from the Career Center. No exceptions.
The use of "greeters" is permitted as long as a "greeting room"
has been reserved in advance.
“Room Only” Interview Schedules:
If you do not use our web-based system to schedule interviews, a copy of your
list of candidates with interview appointments must be provided to us.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
If it is necessary to cancel an interview reservation, please do so as
far in advance as possible. Space is in high demand, and your early cancellation
will give other employers an opportunity to meet with UCLA students. Keep in
mind, last minute cancellations and no-shows will negatively affect your campus
image among students who expect to interview with your organization.
Cancellation & No Show Fees:
- If you honor your campus interview reservation, the use of the Career Center’s
private interview rooms during your campus visit is complimentary.
- If your cancellation is made more than three business days prior to your
interview date, there is no fee.
- If your cancellation is made less than three business days prior to your
interview date, a $100 fee will be charged for each room (schedule) cancelled.
How to Cancel
- You may cancel by telephoning 310.206.1902 during regular business hours,
8am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday. During non-business hours, you may
leave a voice message at this number.
- You may cancel by email to BruinView@career.ucla.edu.
INFORMATION SESSIONS
In general, employers who conduct information sessions shall
adhere to the same policies set forth for campus interviews.
Cancellation and No-Show fees will vary depending on the venue and will be
communicated when reservations are confirmed.
CAREER FAIRS

part-time and seasonal job opportunities and internships to UCLA students and

100% commission) and does not require the candidate to pay a fee for training
